On behalf of the LGBTQ and Intercultural Resource Center, I would like to welcome you to Rutgers University-Newark. The Center is a place available to all campus constituents where you your identity will be supported, honored and affirmed. We serve as a catalyst to unite and empower individuals from LGBTQ and diverse communities towards the liberation from systematic structures of oppression. We are committed to creating a home away from home that supports a safe, brave and welcoming environment. We also serve as a resource for those who seek to strengthen their cultural competencies and engage and interact with people who embody identities different than their own as we strive to co-create a family environment. The Center is a great place to meet new students and create long-lasting friendships. It is also a place to expand your own horizons, challenge yourself, learn critical thinking skills, explore different cultures, and of course, share your own experiences with the campus. Our goal is to make your learning experience at RU-N a rewarding journey while igniting your passion for diversity and social justice.
Thus, please feel free to come and visit us; we are located in Conklin room 232. We look forward to meeting you.
Welcome to the Family.
